High Performance Football webinar series 2021
Welcome to join the international high performance football webinar series organised by the Finnish football club Gnistan. Top international experts in various areas of football performance will be our guest speakers in a total of five Zoom-webinars. Register for the webinars to educate and expand your football knowledge!
The webinar series dive deep into the core of football coaching. An interesting agenda includes the following topics:
- Squad Building & Scouting Workflow – speaker: Rodrigo Picchioni (BRA), Football Operations Assistant of Red Bull Bragantino in Brazil’s Serie A
- Impact of environmental constraints in football performance – speaker: Hugo Pereira (POR), former Colombian National Team and Rosenborg’s Assistant Coach
- Updating Running Performance in Football – speaker: Christopher Carling (ENG), Head of Performance at the French Football Federation
- The Shakthar Methodology – speaker: Vitor Severino (POR), Assistant Coach of Shakhtar Donetsk
- What every Football Coach must know about goalkeeping – speaker: Jyri Nieminen (FIN), who just recently was appointed the goalkeeper coach of the MLS club New York Red Bulls.
The webinars will be hosted and moderated by IF Gnistan’s Head Coach, Ricardo Duarte, who has an extensive academic background in coach education from the University of Lisbon.
The price of a single webinar is 35€. The whole education package can be acquired by 115€. Webinars are organized in the Zoom webinar platform. Payment is done through PayPal -service

If you are unable to attend the live webinar you have the possibility to buy the recording with the same fee (35 € / 115 €). Register normally to the webinars and inform us about your wish through e-mail (webinars@gnistan.fi). We will send you the recording afterwards.
All webinars are done in English. The duration of a single webinar will be approximately one and half hours.

Christopher Carling, Head of Performance at the French Football Federation expands our understanding of players’ running performance and movement patterns during football matches. Carling has worked during his career at high performance environments such as Manchester United, Lille, Marseille and PSG.

Vitor Severino Assistant Coach of the Shakhtar Donetsk representative team opens the training methodology and coaching process in the latest successes of the Ukrainian club. The last season’s Ukranian champion is well known by beating some of the best European teams such as Zidane’s Real Madrid and Guardiola’s Manchester City, as well as revealing some top professional players in European football.

Jyri Nieminen – What every Football Coach must know about goalkeeping
Jyri Nieminen – Jyri was just recently appointed the goalkeeper coach of MLS club New York Red Bulls. Nieminen opens up what every football coach needs to know about the role of the goalkeeper as part of the team. Nieminen has a comprehensive coaching experience from around the world, from Aspire Academy, Qatar Youth National Teams, U.S. MLS and South African Premier League.
