IF Gnistan organises afternoon activities for children in the first and second grade in a safe environment on school premises. The afternoon club will take place in Oulunkylä primary school, Teinintie school unit, in Oulunkylä during the 2024–2025 school term. Afternoon club activities provide a safe place for children after school and opportunities for meaningful recreational activities at the end of the day. We organise diverse, instructor-led and self-driven sports and other activities for children. The afternoon club is not solely focused on football. Instead, we encourage diverse physical exercise. We also offer a snack and the opportunity to do homework.
Ohjaajillamme on kokemusta iltapäiväkerhotoiminnasta tai lasten kanssa toimimisesta ja osa heistä toimii myös valmentajana Gnistanin jalkapalloseurassa.
Osa kokeneista ohjaajistamme omaa kasvatusalan ja/tai liikunta-alan tutkinnon.
Applications for IF Gnistan’s afternoon club activities are accepted via the City of Helsinki’s application procedure, as is the case with other afternoon clubs in Helsinki.
HOW TO APPLY FOR A PLACE IN AN AFTERNOON CLUB
Application for afternoon club activities 2024–2025
Children are selected for afternoon activities for one schoolyear at a time. Unlike in previous years, applications are primarily accepted through Wilma.
The application period for activities in the 2024–2025 schoolyear is from 13 March to 17 April 2024
Applications by pupils starting second grade and pupils in special education are accepted simultaneously with pupils starting first grade.

Customer fees vary depending on the selected time of attendance:
12:00–17:00 agreement: €120/month
12:00–16:00 agreement: €100/month
The customer fee is the same for all afternoon clubs. The time of attendance for the afternoon club can be changed once during the schoolyear, and this must be done officially by sending an e-mail to the afternoon club’s email address: iltapaivakerho@gnistan.fi. Changes cannot be made retroactively. You can apply for a fee reduction for afternoon club fees by using the form available on the City of Helsinki website.
